Williams speaks to 10:10 roadshow8.00.00pm GMT Sat 21st Nov 2009 Bristol West MP Stephen Williams met campaigners from Bristol and the wider west country who were being trained by the 10:!0 campaign coalition of charities in how to become local advocates on climate change campaigning. In a gathering at Bristol university Wills Memorial Building, Stephen related how he had met Inuit people from northern Canada who had told MP's of the real effect climate change is having on their fragile Eco-system. He also told them of his membership of the all party group on the Great Lakes region of Africa and meeting pygmy representatives who had had their lives disrupted by illegal logging of the tropical forest in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Stephen gave the trainees tips on how to influence Members of Parliament and local councillors. Stephen praised Lib Dem-led Bristol City Council for signing the city up to 10:10 in contrast to the House of Commons which rejected Lib Dem LibDem motion to support the campaign.
