Stephen Williams MP - Working for YOU in Bristol West

Stephen Williams MP

Dear friend,

Thank you for visiting my website. Since being elected in May 2005, I have been kept busier than I ever believed possible.

I have met countless community groups and local organisations, along with public service chiefs and business leaders. I always thought I knew Bristol well, having lived here for 20 years - but you'd be amazed what more there is to learn!

I've spoken to many of you in my weekly surgeries - covering every possible subject, from dentistry to renewable energy.

This website contains a lot more about what I've been up to and the campaigns I am involved in, as well as wider news from the Liberal Democrats across Bristol West. It also allows you to:

Best wishes,

Work gets underway on new Gloucester Road surgery and library

Mon 15th Feb 2010

Work is now underway to convert the former Bristol North swimming baths on Gloucester Road to a doctors' surgery. The site was visited by Bristol West MP Stephen Williams and Redland Councillors, Fi Hance and Sylvia Townsend. They were shown around the interior of the old baths by a representative of Chatsworth Homes Ltd. The Baths are to be converted to a new doctors' surgery which will also have additional healthcare facilities including a pharmacy. Part of the old pool will be retained as a hydro-therapy pool. The adjacent car park will have a new library built over it along with a small number of flats. The car park will then re-open. When the development is completed the Logan Road surgery will transfer to its new home and the Cheltenham Road library will also move.
