New Bishopston School Starts to Take Shape

New Bishopston Primary SchoolStephen Williams MP has visited the site of the new Bishopston Primary School, which is taking shape at Ashley Down, along with councillors Bev Knott and Clare Campion-Smith. Stephen said, "The pressure on school places in Bristol has been an issue for many years, which sadly the Labour Council neglected. I am pleased to see that my colleagues in the new Lib Dem administration at the Council House have taken urgent steps to give this school the go-ahead to help ease the problem."

The new school will open in temporary accommodation at the Cricket Club's education suite in September 2010, before moving into the new school building after its completion, scheduled for the start of 2011.
