Bristol West's Lib Dem MP Stephen Williams visited Royal Mail workers at the Montpelier delivery office, in the busiest week of the year - the run up to Christmas. He met with all of the staff at the office who deliver mail to the BS6 and BS7 postcode areas, and the staff who work at the parcel office, where residents can collect parcels and items of mail.
Stephen thanked the postmen and women for their work, particularly during the freezing weather. He said, "Despite the thousands of e-mails which are now sent, everybody still takes great joy in receiving a Christmas card or personal letter from friends and family who they may not have heard from for some time."
Stephen also thanked in particular the Royal Mail staff who deliver mail from constituents addressed, which is sent to his constituency office.
