Williams attends launch of BBC Democracy Live

Stephen Williams, Liberal Democrat MP for Bristol West has attended the launch of the BBC's brand new website, BBC Democracy Live. The website will promote the work of all of the United Kingdoms decision making bodies including the House of Commons, House of Lords, Welsh Assembly and the European Parliament. The website was launched in the State Apartments of the new Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP.

Stephen said "This is a fantastic initiative by the BBC that will enable Bristol West residents to follow not only my work in Parliament but also the discussion of many of the new laws that are being made every week. At a time when the reputation of Parliament is at a very low ebb, this website is a useful reminder of the sheer scale of the unsung work of elected representatives".
