Stephen Williams MP Welcomes the Opening of the City of Bristol Sixth Form Academy.

March 26, 2009 12:00 AM

Stephen Williams MP will tonight be attending the opening of the new City of Bristol College sixth form academy.

The new academy based at the College Green centre will offer students access to an unrivalled choice of qualifications, allowing each student to create a taylor-made curriculum that matches their personal interests.

Each student will be supported by a personal tutor who will help them prepare for university or employment.

"I'm delighted to be supporting the launch of City of Bristol College's sixth form academy. The college has a major part to play in encouraging young people to study after age 16 in Bristol," Stephen said.

"In these troubled economic times it has never been more vital to acquire new skills and qualifications. The academy will prepare young people for work and help more of them to go on to higher education."

If you are a resident of the Bristol West constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
