Stephen Williams, prospective Lib Dem MP for Bristol West
The Liberal Democrats have revealed details of how Bristol West's Labour MP has voted on some of the key election issues.
Drawing from the official Hansard Parliamentary record, it has been revealed that Valerie Davey has not voted at all on a number of important occasions. These include the votes on authorising military action in Iraq, tripling student tuition fees, creating the controversial two-tier 'foundation hospitals' and closing urban post offices. It has also emerged that she voted in favour of Labour's pointless and wasteful compulsory ID card scheme.
Stephen Williams, prospective Lib Dem MP for Bristol West, said, "I think it is important that voters know how their MP has voted over the last eight years. She has ducked most of the tricky decisions completely and has misled people over her voting on Iraq and tuition fees."
